by Laura DeMarco, The Plain Dealer Sterle’s Country House owner Rick Semersky isn’t sitting still. In addition to making his first appearance at Cleveland’s Labor Day Oktoberfest this weekend, he’s got some new happenings at his iconic Eastern European chateau on East 55th Street (1401 East 55thStreet, 216-881-4181).
On Thursday night, he unveiled two new murals in the cool Bier Garden he opened behind the restaurant earlier this summer. The bucolic images are by local artist Laurel Herbold.
Sterle’s will also host the next urban pop-up Cleveland Flea market from 9 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. This funky market will bring more than 80 vendors selling artisan goods, vintage clothes and other funky finds to Sterle’s. The restaurant and bar will be open throughout.
